Raksha Bandhan 2021: Bollywood Stars’ Sibling Revelry

We recently celebrated Raksha Bandhan, a day dedicated to the eternal bond between brothers and sisters. And where there were celebrations, how could Bollywood stars be left behind? Bollywood has always given prominence to Rakhi on the silver screen. Off the screen too, celebs are known to celebrate the festival with great fervour. 

We took a sneak peek into the Rakhi celebrations of some of our favourite Bollywood celebrities, including Priyanka Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan, and Sara Ali Khan. Here are some celluloid-worthy moments that we have captured for you:

Priyanka Chopra celebrated Raksha Bandhan with her family in London after five years

The actress, who shares a strong bond with her younger brother Sidharth, Chopra posted a series of photos of their Rakhi celebrations on Instagram. Their mother, Madhu Chopra was also a part of the festivities. Priyanka also extended heartwarming Rakhi wishes to  “her army of brothers”, sending her love, and also expressed her desire for Rakhi gifts in her tongue-in-cheek style.

Sara Ali Khan and her ‘Knock, Knock’ series 

Sara Ali Khan wished her brother Ibrahim, whom she fondly calls Iggy Potter, in her characteristic humorous way. The actress Instagrammed a funny video that included her ‘famous knock, knock series.’ The video features a series of exchanges between the two, with Sara successfully trying to annoy Ibrahim.

Kiara Advani put a sweet caption on her Instagram post

Kiara Advani, who is riding high on the success of her recent film ‘Shershaah, posted heartwarming Rakhi wishes for her “four beautiful baby brothers”.

In the picture she shared of herself and her brothers, Kiara fondly looks on as she watches one of her little siblings devouring a piece of cake.

Soha Ali Khan missed her brother on Raksha Bandhan

Actress Soha Ali Khan, who is close to her actor-brother Saif, celebrated Raksha Bandhan with him. Soha, whose Rakhi album features herself, Saif and their respective children Inaya and Taimur, wrote that she was missing her sister Saba and her niece Sara, daughter of Saif and his first wife Amrita Singh.

On her Instagram post, Sara wrote about how much she missed celebrating Raksha Bandhan with her sibling.

Here’s how Shweta Bachchan expressed her love for brother Abhishek Bachchan

Actor Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta, who is extremely close to her actor-brother Abhishek Bachchan, Instagrammed a picture of them on the occasion. Calling Abhishek her “kindred”, the Bachchan beti wittily revealed that the two were “either plotting or posing”.
