The lateral peripheral vision of yellow colour is 1.24 times greater than red colour. Therefore, yellow is 1.24 times more attractive to human eye in dimmer conditions than other colours. This all done to minimise any harm to the children and help them reach home safely.
The Supreme Court of India has now made some mandatory changes like:
- Principal’s phone number should be mentioned on the school bus
- First-aid should be always available in a school bus
- It is necessary that the bus driver should go through proper verification
