1. Time Your Exercise Well
Make sure you exercise in the morning, that too for a fixed period of time. Never workout outdoors between 10 am to 3 pm as it is the hottest time of the day.
2. Start Your Workout With A Slush
Getting that extra add-on always helps. It is tasty yet healthy with the temperature lowering properties.
3. Wearing Breathable Clothes
Look for clothing with synthetic fabrics specifically designed for exercises, such as polyesters, micro-fibres, and ultra-thin wool. But it should be of good quality otherwise can lead to rashes.
4. Increase Salt Availability
Right intake of salt is necessary to ensure that your electrolyte levels are maintained. The extra salt during any event can give your body extra sodium stores to rely on while exercising.
5. Keep your neck cool with a frozen towel
Soak a thin, lightweight hand towel in water. Wriggle the cloth and freeze it for about an hour or so. When ready to go for a workout, wrap this towel around your neck.
6. Stay Hydrated
Drink loads of water! Water is the only source that can never go wrong. Do not wait until you are thirsty. Listen to your body and drink for it!
7. Sunscreen For Good Skin
It is important to protect your skin from the scorching heat of summer. Opt for an oil-free sunscreen that doesn’t interfere with the body’s ability to cool down. Make sure to apply a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.
