Yoga is one of the practices of ancient India that has given us a stronger foundation and is now recognised all over the world for its umpteen number of health benefits. In 2014, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address at the UN General Assembly proposed observing the International Day of Yoga, and thereafter the United Nations recognised June 21 as the International Yoga Day.
This attempt to get yoga up on the world map has been successful as more and more people ever since have started getting involved in yoga for a stressless life. The theme for this year’s International Yoga Day 2021 is ‘Yoga for Wellness’. Yoga is not just great for physical wellbeing but it takes good care of your mental health for a peaceful living.

The relevance of yoga has become even more prominent with the present phase of the Covid-19 pandemic, which the world is still fighting, though there are clear signs that the wave is slowly and surely curving downwards.
Today while addressing the nation, PM Modi announced that India, along with the United Nations and WHO, is launching an app called M-Yoga that aims to provide easy access to Yogic practice all over the world. This will be an amazing gift for the world to rejoice as it offers years of knowledge compiled together for healthy living.
