How Temperature Affects Cooked Food 

Food, as we know, is the key to human survival, but it derives different meanings for different people. Eating habits differ from place to place, but the struggle to keep your food fresh for a longer interval of time is real. To stay healthy one has to have good and fresh food to absorb the nutrients properly.

We usually refrigerate our food, as we know bacteria cannot grow very well at a lower temperature. But, can multiply rapidly at favourable temperature, moisture and time that causes illness. Bacteria is said to exist everywhere in nature be it soil, air, water even the food we eat. All need to understand the importance of temperature in keeping food safe. Foodborne illnesses are common and may last for a few days with good recovery rates but in certain cases may lead to death at times.

Your refrigerator is one of the crucial ways of keeping the food you cook in the best edible condition. It is said to be dangerous for any food item left in open for more than two hours. It is also crucial to cook your food at the right temperature. There are times when you feel that the food is ready to serve but to the contrary, it might not be. You may use a thermometer to get a better picture of the same. If the food temperature is not correct the bacteria might still be very much alive in the food later spoiling it. Also, be equally cautious when you reheat the food, it should be steaming hot all the way through. Cover it with a lid to let the moisture allow even cooking of the food.

The refrigerators need to be set at the right temperature to limit the growth of bacteria to some extent. As low temperature restricts the movement of molecules with bacteria becoming dormant. So, always keep your food in a refrigerator within two hours of cooking and use it wisely.Eat fresh, eat good and stay healthy!
