Cinema Halls to Operate at Full Capacity

Its been almost a year ever since the coronavirus took over the normal functioning of our day to day work. The entertainment industry was the worst hit as people were unable to move out to enjoy like before. Going in a closed area with unknown people seemed to be risky and uncertain, but now when the vaccine is out things are getting better. Now cinema halls are allowed to operate at full capacity from February 1, but of course, they have to adhere to the rules & safety protocols.

“There is good news. In February, people can watch and enjoy films in theatres as we are allowing full occupancy in all cinema halls. Cinema halls can now open at 100% capacity,” Javadekar said.

People can buy food inside the theatre, but sanitation protocols are to be followed religiously. Restrictions on an exhibition of films will remain in place for containment zones. Use of masks is mandatory for all without fail be it the staff or the visitors and distance should be maintained outside the hall and in common areas.

Thermal checks at entry are mandatory, the exit will be row-wise without getting cluttered in a single place. It would be preferred if people book their tickets online or the payment mode is digital for maintaining a safer distance. Sanitation of the entire premises is a mandatory post for each screening.

The new guidelines were welcomed by the Producers Guild of India:

It is a big step for the country, but now everything lies in the hands of people if they work in a systematic manner, it is then only that the decision will work for a positive outcome. Let’s enjoy but in a set manner not causing any trouble to people.
