Who are Millennial people?

Millennials refer to people who were born between 1981 and 1996. The oldest and youngest millennials are in their 40s and mid-20s, respectively. Millennials are the ultimate multitaskers, juggling WhatsApp groups for family, friends, and colleagues, all while keeping up with their favourite cricket team’s performance. Their memories are filled with stories of Nokia 3310s, landline phones, and the struggle of finding change for a 2000-rupee note. In the era of globalisation, they’ve embraced international cuisines while never saying no to a plate of mom’s homemade biryani. So, this is a generation that effortlessly blends tradition and modernity, all while dreaming of a world where “Chai-fi” is a thing! 

How Gen Z and Millennials are different in the workplace?

Back in the day, many millennials were convinced that tattoos, piercings, and dressing down were like kryptonite for job opportunities. But guess what? Times are changing faster than you can say “business casual.” Now, Gen Z is here to take the stage, and they’re all about shattering those old-school notions of professionalism. They believe that your personality and skills should outshine your choice of ink or jewellery. It’s like they’re rewriting the dress code, and the theme is “Comfort Meets Competence.” So, maybe it’s like a workplace revolution, where being yourself and rocking that funky sock collection are celebrated like never before! 

When it comes to their preferences for using tools at work, Millennials and Gen Z frequently diverge. While both generations are familiar with technological tools like email and instant messaging, Gen Z is more accustomed to using apps with algorithms that guide them to the most crucial and pertinent information.

While at the workplace, millennials tend to value teamwork and feedback from others more highly than Gen Z members, the latter are more independent and prefer to solve problems on their own. Millennials desire to develop close relationships with their coworkers and incorporate work into their personal lives. With a preference for being in charge of the final result, Gen Z is more likely to be competitive and focused on personal success.

They’re like secret agents, keeping their professional and private lives in separate vaults. They won’t spill the tea to the boss, not even a sip! 

Working together, Gen Z and Millennial, may produce a powerful blend of expertise and innovation that results in a process that is successful, continuously improving, and changing. The variety of their life experiences adds to the team’s collective perspective.
