It’s always been a struggle to find a tranquil place for walks and get entertained simultaneously in the heavily urbanised Delhi-NCR. Noida’s new Vedic Theme Park is the answer to our prayers. The park, located in Noida’s Sector 78, was recently inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who presented it as a gift to the people living in the Delhi suburb. The star attractions of the park reportedly built on a budget of Rs 27 crore are excerpts from the Vedas featured through laser shows and wall paintings, a captivating laser display inspired by Vedic themes, an impressive collection of over 50,000 plants, including species such as neem, banyan, kalpavriksha, coconut, and various others mentioned in Vedic literature, and an outdoor gym and an amphitheatre powered by solar energy making it futuristic yet keeping it close to nature.
The evening or morning walks don’t have to be boring anymore- people living in Noida have got the perfect place to energise and get entertained. The construction of the much-anticipated project began back in January 2021 making the project a first-of-its-kind project based on a Hindu text.
The park’s walls have been adorned with vivid paintings depicting scenes from the Vedic era, further immersing guests in a cultural ambiance. The botanical treasures enhance the park’s natural beauty and are a delightful amalgamation of nature with culture due to their connection with Vedic traditions. The trees planted at the Ved Van are not just ordinary ones but also a variety of fruit-bearing trees and medicinal plants.
The park is designed to provide visitors with immersive experiences and a sense of adventure.
The Ved Van is spread across 12 acres. The soil quality had to be enhanced to house the beautiful plants and trees present at the park. According to authorities, the park will cater to the residents residing in housing societies located in sectors 74 to 79, providing convenient access and recreational opportunities for these communities.
