PV Sindhu Wins Bronze Medal At Tokyo Olympics 2020

‘I am on top of the world,’ says PV Sindhu after her historic win at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics 2020. She proudly held the Bronze medal with full glory at the felicitation ceremony. It is her second successive medal win at the Olympics in badminton. She has become the first Indian woman to have won 2 Olympic medals. She expressed her joy stating, that it was indeed a proud moment for her.

After the historic win, she hugged her coach and thanked him for believing in her efforts. Sindhu lost the semi-finals to world number one Tai Tzu-Ying. Eventually, in the third-place play-off game, she won over China’s HE Bingjiao clutching the Bronze medal for the country.

This victory for Sindhu came after five years of the Rio Olympics 2016. The ace shuttler had won a silver medal after losing to Carolina Marin in the finals.
