21st January marked the historic event with the swearing ceremony of the 46th US president Joe Biden. This comes as a breath of fresh air post the unrest under the time period of Donal Trump.
US President Donald Trump left the White House for the final time, heading to Florida post his tenure. Trump in his final letter said it had been an “amazing four years” and the “honour of a lifetime.” He said: “I just want to say goodbye.”
It was a memorable day for India as well with Kamla Harris being sworn as the first woman vice president at the US Capitol. She is the first Black woman and the first woman of South Asian descent to become US vice president.

Addressing the people of the country Biden said, “Here we stand days after a riotous mob thought they could silence the will of the people. It will not happen, not today, not tomorrow, not ever.”

After taking the oath at the Capitol, the president signed 15 executive actions and two directives that take an attempt to go back on the policies formed in the last four years.
